Afterschool Education Programs

4-H Afterschool

4-H Afterschool Education Programs are a special focus area within the 4-H Youth Development Program. We partner with community youth-serving agencies to support quality afterschool environments. We provide support to existing afterschool programs in the following ways:

  • Conducting staff development opportunities for afterschool staff.
  • Providing research-based “hands on” curriculum.

Imagine Science

Imagine Science Orange County is a partnership between Orange County 4-H, the Anaheim YMCA, Boys & Girls Clubs of Garden Grove, and Girls Inc. bringing dynamic, hands-on, after-school STEM education to Orange County's underserved youth. See some of our awesome scientists in action below!

How can I participate?

4-H Afterschool Education Programs are typically developed on a site-wide, grant-specific basis. If you are interested in having 4-H Imagine Science at your school or community site, please contact Jason Suppes at for more information. Youth in afterschool education programs may or may not be individually enrolled in 4-H depending on grant funding.
