RECORD BOOK INFORMATION

It’s the time of year to start thinking about record books!  There are 2 more county workshop coming up – Thursday, March 30 & Tuesday, May 30, 2006.  The workshops are held for the members to gain information on where to put all their activities in the PDR, as well as writing, compiling, and making their record book better.

The important dates for Primary, Junior, and Intermediate Record Books are:

Be sure to have all the required signatures on your PDR and Project Report forms – your book can’t be judged otherwise.

For all levels, the club leader must submit a list of judge’s names to the 4-H Office.  The ratio is 1 judge per every 3 books.  In order that we not miss judging anyone’s book, we ask that each club submit all their record books in one delivery.

SPECIAL NOTE:

For Senior Sectional judging, we are required to send judges who do not have a relative’s record book in the competition.  All adults interested in helping should come to the Senior County judging day, to become familiar with the process.  It is different than judging the younger members books, as they are a different format.  Those parents and members will be very grateful for the assistance, as they depend on the generosity of others in this regard!
