Categories for County Fashion Revue:
Traditional: This category features a garment the participant has constructed either from a creation of his/her own design or a commercial pattern. It showcases the member’s sewing skills and ability to coordinate an outfit.
Wearable Art /Embellished: The garment is one that has been purchased and then decorated to reflect the creativity and personality of the designer.
Consumer Science/Purchased: The participant has demonstrated
his or her ability to shop wisely using knowledge of quality and value in purchasing and coordinating a total oufit, including accessories. The outfit, excluding shoes, must be under $100.
$19.99 Purchased Challenge: Participants use savvy shopping skills to purchase a complete outfit (excluding shoes) for less than $19.99.
“Bag Up to Fashion” Challenge: Participant must create a personalized tote bag using Simplicity Pattern 7161 (View A). They must model it with a coordinating outfit (sewn or purchased).
Eligible projects to compete in Fashion Revue:
Sewing Project: Can compete in all categories
Fashion Revue Project: Can compete in all categories
Introduction to 4-H: Primary members can compete in all categories
Arts and Crafts Project: Can only compete in Wearable Art/Embellished
Category (on garment)
Consumer Science: Can only compete in Purchased Category
