The April 2012 County Council meeting will be held at SCREC.
UC-South Coast Research and Extension Center (SCREC)
7601 Irvine Blvd
Irvine, CA 92618
We would like to see as many of you come to our County Council meetings as possible. You do not have to be a club leader or a project leader. Parents are always welcome. We do ask that there be at least one representative from each club present to take back information to their club. The minutes from the March County Council meeting are attached. See you all soon.
Teen Council - There will be another Teen Council event scheduled. Event, day and time will be sent out once it is organized. Information and applications are available on-line for next year's Teen Council and All Star / Ambassadors. (http://www.oc4h.org/Teen_Council/) Applications are due to Mary Kerr by April 27th. ***Gold or Emerald Star required for All-Star/Ambassadors*** ***NO Star rank required for Teen Council***
Any teen, 13-19, that would like to have something to say about where 4-H is going and what they would like to participate in should come and participate in the future meetings. You do not have to be on the Council to be heard. It is a great way to meet new people your age and share your experience. We'd love to have you join us! Questions - e-mail Ashleigh at ilovemygoat@yahoo.com or BJ at proud2bhorsegirl@aol.com for more information.
***It is time to start working on the calendar for next year! We need your photos from your projects, events like Food Fiesta, Presentation Day, Fashion Revue, Youth Expo, etc. If your club had a club event or a participated in a community service event, send us those too. When you send your e-mail with the photos, please tell us where they were taken and what they are for. Please send then by e-mail to: ashleigh.suzanne@gmail.com. Please keep in mind that pictures can be BIG and won't always get through the e-mail size limit. If you could limit each e-mail to 3-5 photos, that would be great. You can send as many e-mails as you want. We will try to get a good variety of photos in the calendar this year, but you have to get them in to us to get them into the calendar :) If it is easier - you can burn a bunch to disk and bring that disk to the County Council Meeting - Thank you - your County All-Star / Ambassadors.
Record Books - Please be aware that the forms have changed this year. Please go to (http://www.oc4h.org/Record_Books/), and download the new forms. If you need any help getting started on your book, or trying to figure out what to do with the information you have, feel free to contact me - alex.martin@cox.net. Also, there will be another Record Book Workshop on Saturday, June 16th, 9am - Noon at SCREC. We will work on formatting and finalizing books for the end of the year. Its not too late to get started - let me know if you need help.

Every month, I will send out an e-mail like this one to help get the information out there. Please come to the Council Meetings - there is always more information there :) The web-site has most of our events posted. The information on it is accurate. Please feel free to explore and check it out. If there is any information you are looking for that is not on the web-site, please let me know, and I will do my best to get it up there.
