Orange County, California 4-H Summer Camp Counselor Application

To be eligible to participate as a Counselor or Jr. Counselor, you must be at least 14 years of age by December 31, 2007 and must not turn 19 before December 31, 2007

Youth Director (Usually completing senior year in high school although juniors or those 17 years of age or older may apply)
bulletMust be willing to put in at least 6 hours per month from January to August.
bulletAttend all counselor meetings and fundraisers
bulletOne of the youth directors must Attend County Council meetings January through August, and report to Council on the progress of the summer camp program.
bulletMake a written report for the TIO newsletter on the progress of the summer camp program.
Counselor (usually completing junior or senior year in high school)
bulletMust be willing to put in at least 3 hours per month from January to August.
bulletAttend counselor meeting and fundraisers
bulletMake sure the camp staff has your correct e-mail address and phone number.
Jr. Counselor (usually completing freshman or sophomore year in high school)
bulletSame requirements as counselor.
CIT (usually 13 or 14 years old) You may not be a CIT if you are still eligible to be a camper.
bulletCIT's will be invited to apply from last year's 12 year old campers.
bulletAre encouraged to but not required to attend counselor meetings.
bulletMay attend fundraisers and earn financial credit for sibling campers.

Are there any activities that will conflict with attending counselor meetings (first Thursday of the month from 7:pm to 8:30 pm, counselor-training week-end which is held locally or 4-H Camps which is held at Camp Conrad, usually during the 2nd week of August.
