DRAMA PROJECT

ORANGE ACRES BACKBREAKERS

YEAR: 2005 - 2006

Leader: No Leader (yet)        Contact Information

Meetings: As announced, often several times each month

Goals: To write, stage, and perform an original 4H-themed skit for Demo Day. Youth Expo, Fair etc. - plus learning other theater skills  And, of course, to have fun!
What to expect: Members of this project can help write, direct, and perform in or behind the scenes in one or more plays during the 4H year.  Whether you want to act, create backdrops or props, or have technical skills, this is the project where you can use and improve whatever interests you  theatrically.
Time Required: Meetings vary, we will meet at least once each month, but as the play draws near there may be several meetings, both on week nights and week ends to prepare and practice
Effort Required: You will be expected to perform our play at Demo Day and Youth Expo and the Orange County Fair.:
DEMO Day (one day of performing)
We will perform our play in a competition at Demo Day usually in March
If we do well at Demo Day, we may go on to additional competitions
YOUTH EXPO (a "learning fair" of 2-3 days)
We will usually perform our play at the Youth Expo
    ORANGE COUNTY FAIR
We will usually  perform our play at the Youth Building at the Orange County Fair
Estimated Costs: We may need to collect money, or ask members to ask for donations or loaned items to help build props and backdrops and create costumes.  Costs vary, but are not high (typically $10 - $20 for the year).  The more we get loaned or donated, the less money we'll need.
