| Project Description |
Members
will learn not only the safety procedures when handling honey bees, but also
about the rescuing, relocation and care giving of honey bees. Members
will also have the opportunity to build a bee hive box w/super for
harvesting/pollination purposes, |

You will have the opportunity to
participate in Demo Day, Youth Expo and the Orange County Fair:
DEMO DAY - A day set aside by the county
for you to give a 3-5 demonstration or presentation, with supporting
equipment and/or charts, in front of a group of interested 4-Hers and
parents from other 4H clubs in Orange County.
YOUTH EXPO - An educational fair that
focuses on accomplishments of OC Youth held at the OC Fairgrounds in late
April or early May.
ORANGE COUNTY FAIR - The OC Fair is our time to exhibit
projects that we have worked on all year and to show our animals in
competition. Held at the OC Fairgrounds in July.

$0.00 - $250.00 which includes hood and
bee hive box materials. However, these fees are not required to be a
participant, as members can choose to learn about the honey bees only.

| Special Requirements |
All
project members working with live honey bees must be properly trained,
supervised and equipped.
