Project Description Project members will learn shop safety along with the proper use of hand and power tools.  Additionally members will learn how to finish their projects.  We'll use both hand and power woodworking tools to complete simple projects such as a tool box, games and other simple things.  As your skill goes up, you might want to try your hand at more challenging projects. 
Age Range 11 and up

Meeting Time 9:00 a.m. to Noon
Meeting Location Evans Residence in Orange
Competition and/or Showmanship
You will have the opportunity to participate in Demo Day,  Youth Expo and the Orange County Fair:

DEMO DAY - A day set aside by the county for you to give a 3-5 demonstration or presentation, with supporting equipment and/or charts, in front of a group of interested 4-Hers and parents from other 4H clubs in Orange County.

YOUTH EXPO - An educational fair that focuses on accomplishments of OC Youth held at the OC Fairgrounds in late April or early May. 
   
ORANGE COUNTY FAIR - The OC Fair is our time to exhibit projects that we have worked on all year and to show our animals in competition.  Held at the OC Fairgrounds in July.
 
 
Estimated Costs Since the projects are small, they are typically low cost.  You may be asked to bring materials or contribute a few dollars for materials during the year.
