Countywide Community Service Project

Countywide Community Service Project Helps Animal Shelter & Meals on Wheels

In the first meeting of the year dog toys were made to support Modjeska Ranch. In the second meeting, cat toys were made. So many toys have been donated that additional shelters are being sought out. Great job! In the February meeting the Orange County Ambassadors lead the group in extending their letter-writing campaign, writing letters of encouragement to community heroes and to those who are isolated during the pandemic. You can learn more about all of the service projects and making donations here: Orange County Slack - Countywide Service Project Channel

Donations of toys and supplies for shelters and cards of encouragement will be accepted all year long so get crafting and share your love with a senior or a dog or cat in need! You can drop in to these meetings any time and make a contribution!

It's not too late...You can still join the Countywide Community Service Project! Participate in mini-projects all year long that help our community from schools to animal shelters to beach cleanups to food pantries. Every month a different project will be introduced using a variety of skills and materials. Meetings will be on the last Monday of the month. Instructions will be provided and you can work on your own time to finish the project. For now meetings and instructions will be via Zoom/Slack. When COVID restrictions are lifted, projects will be in person at beaches and food pantries. Open to all 4-H members in Orange County!
