Countywide Community Service Project Helps Animal Shelter & Meals on Wheels & our community

In the first meetings of the year participants made dog and cat toys to support Modjeska Ranch. Participants also made cards and placemats for Meals on Wheels meal deliveries. In February project members joined forces with our County Ambassadors' Letter-Writing Campaign - sending letters of encouragement to those who were isolated during the pandemic. In March members participated in the Sew-a-Softie sewing challenge. In April, finger puppets were made to donate to local kindergarten classes. You can learn more about making these items and making donations here: Orange County Slack - Countywide Service Project Channel

Donations will be accepted all year as the need for these items is not just seasonal. Please continue to craft them!

Participate in mini-projects that help our community. Every month a different project was introduced using a variety of skills and materials. Meetings were on the last Monday of the month. Instructions were provided and you can work on your own time to finish the project. For now meetings and instructions will be via Zoom/Slack. Open to all 4-H members in Orange County!

This project has no more formal project meetings but you can still continue to make the mini-projects for donation. Contact the county office if you have completed projects for pick-up. Consider helping with this project when it is offered again next year!
